No legal entity has been registered for this product. The operator must supply the entity name, address and jurisdiction before these terms bind anyone. Until then, this document is a plain-language statement of how the service behaves and is not a legally binding contract. It is written to be honest and specific, and it will be replaced with enforceable terms when an entity exists.

What the service does

Hopcheck is a redirect-chain inspector. You paste a URL, the server follows each HTTP redirect one hop at a time (capped at 10 hops), and returns the chain: each URL, the status code that caused the hop, the query string, and any changes. The service is stateless: there are no accounts, no stored history, no saved links, no cross-device state, and no way to retrieve a previous check.

The service answers when you ask. It does not send email, alerts, notices, or scheduled re-checks. There is no sender, and the service as it exists today has no subscription — the Pro plan described in the Billing section is planned, not yet available.

Acceptable use

You may use Hopcheck to inspect redirect chains of URLs you have the right to check.
You may not use Hopcheck to probe, scan, or test systems you do not own or have explicit permission to inspect. The tool checks only the URL you type — it does not crawl, scan, or follow links found on the final page.
You may not use Hopcheck to harass, attack, or cause harm to any person, system, or network.
You may not use the service in a way that exceeds reasonable request volume (the service has no accounts and no rate limiting, but abuse that degrades the service for others may result in your requests being blocked).

Limitations and disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied.

Only HTTP 3xx redirects are followed. HTML meta-refresh pages are reported as the final hop.
The chain is capped at 10 hops. A chain that hits the cap is reported as a distinct result from a chain that ended naturally.
If a hop times out or the host does not resolve, the check reports that it did not complete, and at which hop. This is a failure of the check, not a finding about the URL you submitted.
The service may be unavailable, interrupted, or modified at any time. There is no uptime guarantee, no SLA, and no commitment to maintain the service.
The operator assumes no liability for any loss, damage, or claim arising from the use or inability to use this service.

Data and privacy

See the privacy policy for a full description of what data is and is not collected. In summary: the URL you submit is sent to the server to perform the check and is not retained. There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, and no stored data. The product is stateless by design.

Billing

No payment processor is connected on this site today. No subscriptions are active, no charges are made, and the checkout form on the pricing page is a demo that accepts nothing, charges nothing, and sends nothing. The terms below describe the billing arrangement that will apply when the Pro plan is available for purchase.

What you buy. A Pro subscription grants access to additional Hopcheck features — such as chains beyond the 10-hop cap, meta-refresh detection, and batch checks — as described on the pricing page. The Free plan remains available and unchanged.

Price and billing period. The Pro plan price is displayed on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Monthly subscriptions are billed once per month. Annual subscriptions are billed once per year at a discounted rate.

Payment method. A valid payment method is required to start a Pro subscription. The first charge is made when the subscription starts, and recurring charges are made at the start of each subsequent billing period.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, the card is retried up to 3 times over 5 days. Pro access continues during this period. If all retries fail, the subscription is suspended and access is downgraded to the Free plan. The subscription is cancelled after 14 days without a successful payment.

Refunds. If you are not satisfied with the Pro plan, you may request a refund within 14 days of the initial charge. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method. No refunds are given for partial billing periods after the 14-day window.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Governing law

No governing law or jurisdiction is stated because no legal entity has been registered. The operator of this service operates from no declared jurisdiction. When a legal entity is registered, this section will name the applicable jurisdiction.
